Invite Secret Members
Secret members are external or restricted users who are invited explicitly to a secret workspace, board, or channel. These members are not considered part of the main organization.
Secret members are typically used for client collaboration, third-party partners, or confidential projects.
How Secret Members Differ from Organization Members
- Secret members are not visible in the organization user directory.
- They only have access to the specific secret workspace, board, or channel they were invited to.
- They cannot see other organization workspaces.
- They cannot communicate with organization members through general DMs.
Invite New Secret Members
- Open the secret workspace, board, or channel.
- Click Invite Members.
- Enter the user’s email address.
- Optionally assign a nickname.
- Choose the role and permission level.
- Send the invitation.
Secret Member Access Restrictions
- Cannot access public or private workspaces in the organization.
- Cannot start direct messages with internal members.
- Cannot see the organization user directory.
- Only interact within the secret environment they were invited to.
Invite Existing Organization Members to Secret Spaces
- Open the secret workspace or board.
- Click Invite Members.
- Select the existing organization member.
- Assign their role and permissions.
- Confirm the invitation.
